The device that you use to create your iCloud email login will automatically be setup to use iCloud mail. But if you have other devices that you want to use with your iCloud email login, you will have to turn that on manually on each device. For example, if you set up your account on a Mac computer, you would have to turn iCloud mail on for your iPhone and iPad separately to make sure all devices are communicating.
To turn on iCloud email login on Mac, go to System Preferences (found in the Apple menu), select “iCloud” and click on “Mail”.
To turn on iCloud mail on an iPhone, iPad or other iOS device, go to Settings, tap “iCloud” and turn on the “Mail” button.
To turn on iCloud email login on a Windows PC with Outlook, download, install and open “iCloud for Windows”. Select what you want to sync (contacts, mail, calendars and tasks) and “Apply” these changes.
