There is a fantastic, free application for Mac, iPhone and iPad that allows you to read free e-books, listen to free audiobooks and even watch free movies on your device from your local library. The app is called OverDrive, and all you need is a valid library card to get set up. Here’s how:
1. Login to iCloud with your email (Apple ID) on all devices you will want to read, listen and watch.
2. Adjust your iCloud settings so that application downloads sync across all devices.
3. Download the OverDrive app and set up your account using your library card.
4. Browse all offerings your local library has made available from any Apple device linked to your iCloud account.
5. Borrow books to read on your Mac or iPad, or listen to audiobooks on your iPhone during your daily commute.
6. Books are free to borrow with no late fees!
